I purchased a Viking stove on an impulse purchase. It was a deal I couldn't refuse. I wanted a sleek vent that was directly vented outside. I couldn't justify the price of the Viking vent so I chose this one based on a great review and a gut instinct. I am really happy so far with this product. It is nice looking, sleek, powerful and quiet.

This hood is amazing. I had some problems installing it, largely due to my ineptitude. One thing I noticed is that the measurements listed in the manual vs. what I actually observed on the unit itself are slightly different - so don't start drilling holes until you match it up with your hood! Once installed, the thing moves a ton of air even on the lower settings. This may be overkill for most kitchens, but if you're going to install something, why not install something ONCE and make it as reasonably powerful as you can! It looks great and works great. I highly recommend this unit.
