Comments:

I tried one of the new Coleman portable grills. I ended up pinching my fingers while closing it, had grease run down the assembly with the pan in place and had to fight uneven cooking and flareups. Our new Weber Q200 is about the same size with none of the issues. Used it once to build up flavor and then moved to really great steaks. Plan on using it on my pontoon boat without the stand (it is really too wobbly for that type of use). I believe that with a little protection under it to protect "possible" stains to the carpeting, it will not cause any issues at all with the boat deck as it is relatively cool underneath while cooking. I am overly cautious as I plan on putting a piece of plywood under it with a grill pad cover on top of the plywood. Using the handle on the Weber and flip handles on the deck of the boat should make the grill itself a perfect addition for entetaining on the water.
