i use this lens mostly for macro and portrait. The lens is the best for the price. image is sharp, and bokeh is nice; image seems to have lots of noise as zoom in, however.

Just received the Tamron AF 90 mm f 2.8 Macro lens as a present from my daughter. It integrated smoothly onto my Canon Rebel XT. This was my 1st macro lens thus there was a learning curve for me but I soon mastered its use and am geting great pictures. I can get sharp pictures down below 12" at the 1:1 focus setting. Early morning and late afternoon light gives some great natural lighting effects on macro shots. See example. Al
