Comments:
I bought this lens 2 months ago as my 18-55mm stock lens failed after 4 yrs. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this lens, primarily for the versatility it gives - 18-200mm (although some question whether it really goes up to 200mm). It helps avoid changing lenses. The shortfall is that it "thinks" a bit while focusing, especially in the telephoto range. It is a bit heavy too, but I'm okay to live with that.

Used for only landscape and wildlife photography. Not a good indoor lens. Auto focus hunts in low light.great for what I purchased it for.

This can be used as a versatile lens covering most situations. The one lens I pick when I don't know what I will need. The only other lens needed is a low light 50mm lens for indoors and low light conditions.

This is my primary lens now. 18-200mm covers more then the range for what I need. Shooting a waterfall on Rainier then 10 minutes later shooting the entire mountain without changing lenses is perfect. The odd lens opening (62mm), took a little time to find filters that would fit. Mission accomplished.

Being able to get the whole scene in one shot is great. You can now throw away all other lenses. You only need this one.
