There was one reason I chose to buy two of these wine coolers over the many, many that are in the market: this model was the smallest one I could find that had a lock. As we are a business (we want to be able to offer bottles of wine as thank you gifts), being able to lock-up the coolers was essential. But the locks are essentially fake. Yes, they prevent the door from opening when tugged. But because all the lock does is engage a bendable piece of metal, ANYBODY can overcome the lock with less than 3 seconds' effort. It won't keep your kids from stealing wine, and it won't keep people in your business out either. It only works to convey the message that the wine coolers are off-limits. Yes, there is value in that message for right-minded people. But it all not keep your wind secured.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
