Samsung puts a lot of thought into their products. The remotes are oriented about the same and are some what interchangeable. Works well with my other devices. (3 WDTV Live Hubs, 3 PCs and a Motorola Xoom Tablet) Tablet even has Samsung remote control apps. Picture is awesome, uniform, with warm non plastic looking image. Motion is totally smooth. Does NOT warm up the room like my smaller 52" Other Brand LCD TV. Only down side was working with Abes of Maine. Wish I had purchased it locally. Still waiting for promised glasses almost a month later... The Samsung UN65D800 TV is great and is the 2011 version. The 2012 versions go up to 75", but have built in camera with a different remote interface, I do not care for... I would recommend the 2011 version to a friend.

Still learning all of the bells and whistles, but we are very impressed with the picture quality!! Samsung lives up to its reputation with this TV. Great price and customer service at Abe's.

So I took a chance to order this TV from Abes Of Main as they clearly had the best price. My overall experience was a really good one. Ordering on line from Abes was easy. I received a call from Larry the next day to confirm my order and all was set. The TV arrived in 6 days in perfect condition. The delivery service was professional, they unloaded the TV and brought it inside. They assisted in unboxing to test before signing for it. The TV is not wall hung and am using the stand as it is inside an enterainment center. One issue(minor I must say) is that the connections are on the left side- so- when all of the cables are hooked up, the TV tilts a bit (from the weight of the cables) and was noticable. So I installed a small bungee cord to take off the weight. All is perfect now! The picture is incredible, and the 3D takes the viewing experience to another level! The double-sided remote is pretty cool and makes the Smart TV functions easy to navigate and operate. Hopefully Samsung will add add some more apps but the selection of what's available is good for me now. One thing I really like is the Anynet+ feature. When I put a disk (game, DVD or Bluray) in my PS3, the TV automatically recognizes it and changes the input, PLUS the TV remote controls the PS3!!! Need I say any more? I highly recommend this TV!

Replaced an aging Sony DLP. The difference is amazing!!! Rewatching movies and programs because the color and details are stunning. On true 1080p HD, the details pop out and you feel like you're there. My older Samsung now seems dull and lifeless. Time to start saving for another one.

A very simple TV to set up. Incredible picture quality. 3D is also very good. You will not believe the contrast on this TV. I would definitely buy again.
