This camera is amazing! The best I've had up until now is my Minolta A2 and small pocket cameras. My first weekend with this camera I didn't have time to study the manual so just started shooting in full auto. I am very happy with the results...no...Extremely happy!!! Since then I've been taking shots in manual and it just keeps getting better. I've always wanted a dslr but the size and complexity kept me away. The Sony Nex-5n has all the features I've always lusted for in dslr's all while being tiny in comparison (With a pancake lense you literally can put this in your pocket). Other things I love are the easy, intuitive menu system, the quality feel of the camera and how it actually teaches you how to use it with built-in tips and help screens. Also, it's faster than anything I've had before (only about 3-4 seconds to power on and start taking pictures in full auto). The only con I have is I wish the custom button feature gave access to more functions, but I knew this from the reviews so can't really complain. Overall I would recommend this camera to anyone I know from rank amature to pro...i'm that exited about it!

The 5N produces great images even in low light. Coming from a DSLR it is an adjustment to learn the controls to operate in PASM modes, but well worth the effort. I do miss a viewfinder and a full assortment of lenses which I'm sure will come.
