I have had this tv for a little over a year now & it is one of the best electronics purchase that I have ever made. I use this tv heavily weather playing games on PS3 or Xbox360, which always looks great. Or watching movies, sports, or regular shows. The only drawback is the sound quality which is average at best, but can be fully enhanced with a solid Home Theater System.

Easy to set up, I have it connected to my multi media receiver, 5.1, sounds great, use the HDMI connections. Don't use the internal speakers so I haven't rated them as to their quality.

We use this 55" Sony Bravia LCD TV in our family room. It is a very large picture for our room and it is very clear (we sit about 10' from the TV). Normally, we watch HD channels or DVDs, but even for non-HD sources, the video quality is excellent. Whether we're watching sports, cartoons, or news, we've been very satisfied with the TV. We don't have any complaints yet. Before purchasing, we'd read some comments about inferior sound quality. We have noticed that the sound is not particularly strong; rather, we'd qualify it as average sound quality. As with most TVs, if you want to get top-notch sound, you should hook up an A/V receiver or home theater sound system. That being said, for our purposes, the TV sound is more than sufficient. One final comment: there are some HDMI and component inputs on the side (they're not all in the back). This makes it easier to connect game systems, etc.
