It does a lot and does it well. Owners should spend some time with the product before seriously using it. It is a very nice product, and even though its 3d capability complicates its use, the 3d can be switched off and then the camera is about as simple to use as any non-3d camcorder. Still pictures very good--not as good as a SLR, but satisfying and more than acceptable for most users. It was a good purchase! As adults, the grandkids will appreciate seeing themselves in 3d!!!!
