Very good product!

4.0

PROS

  • Simple Display
  • Perfect for under counter
  • Easy To Install

CONS

  • Brief user manual

BEST USES

  • Popcorn
  • Defrosting
  • Leftovers

Comments:

This unit replaced a door based unit which eventually malfunctioned. It is expensive, but is much better suited for under-the-counter installations than units with doors. The panel is easy to read, and the controls are easy to use. The user guide could have been a bit more thorough, but the menus on the screen do handle most situations well enough. Installation was easy, and the unit operates quietly.

Comments:

We've only had the microwave for a week and used it for reheating leftovers and warming beverages. It is very easy to install, and the capacity is great. Glad the microwave walks you through the instructions on how to use it properly, since there are so many buttons on the unit. We purchased the unit because, during our home renovation, the builder suggested we put the microwave in the kitchen island (below eye level) to save counter space. It is very nice that we no longer have to fully bend to set the microwave and insert/remove food. However, although angled, you still cannot read this microwave display from a standing position. Great you can open/close the handle manually, as well as electronically. Surprised us, though, how much longer it takes to open and close the door compared to a conventional microwave. Easy to clean the bottom of the microwave. Do not know how easy it is to keep the top, back and sides clean because of the drawer. All in all, I would buy this microwave if I needed to put a microwave low in the cabinets. For those with children, there is a lock feature so that you can keep them out of the drawer microwave.
