This is so good a product I asked for it as a gift! Previously had one, motor gave out after 3 years, prices through Abes are so great it was cheaper to buy new! I am thrilled with having this macro once again in my camera bag.

This lens has been great. I tested the similarly spec'd Canon lens for a couple weeks before purchasing this one. This one is more affordable and is definitely comparable in quality. I wholeheartedly recommend this lens.

Beginners should note, macro photography may not be as simple as you are thinking. It can be challenging to properly light an object that you are less that an inch away from without proper equipment that adds $$$$ to your new hobby.
