After researching for what seemed like forever I finally decided on trying out this plasma - a cautious switch from prior LCD usage. I have been happy in the last months of ownership and more importantly, so has the wife! We decided on this set mainly because of high praise through CNET and user reviews. We went with the slightly upgraded G series because of the THX certification (though I don't think it matters too much) and one mention of upgraded processors allowing for faster switching. Again, we have not been disappointed in the least and have only been pleased with clarity, color, looks, and most importantly, price. This set simply cannot be beat for value as it produces the best picture of anything I've seen (Blu Ray and HD cable) yet costs thousand(s) less than comparable OLED/LED/LCDs.

I've got an indoor antenna connected for Over-the-air broadcasts. I've got the usual cable set-top box and a blu-ray player attached via HDMI with still 2 more HDMI connections available. The audio-return connecter (not used now) is reserved for a Receiver and 5.1 speaker set-up. I got a great price and the white glove service was worth it. I even got money back with buy safe.

I have everything Sony, but had heard from many people how good Panasonic TV's were. I shopped many electronic stores to discuss with various sales people on what they would choose. I heard Panasonic more than anything else. The reviews on the TV were great, both from experts and from users. I decided to give it a try and am very pleased I did. Picture is great. Don't buy it hoping the audio will be top notch, as you will want to add a sound bar at minimum, if not hooking to a true sound system. I had the TV out of the box and setup within 30 minutes. I do know about how to do these things, so it was easy for me. I would recommend this TV to anybody.

We watch this TV almost every evening. Picture quality is nearly perfect with outstanding blacks and no motion blur or any noticable artifacts. Our only complaint is the the remote control is not capable of controlling other devices such at the cable box or BD player.

I WAITED ALL LAST YEAR TO GET THE 55 INCH PANASONIC TOP OF THE LINE VT30. I AM GLAD I WAITED AND GOT THIS TV. IT HAS A BETTER DESIGN AND THE BLACK LEVELS AND CONTRAST ARE HIGHER THEN LAST YEAR. GREAT PICTURE QUALITY
