This is a FANATSTIC TV, BEST picture quality available for the money. Don't buy an LCD TV, Plasma is far superior...and this is the TV to buy. Sound quality is just OK, I will add a sound bar (less than $200)

Great TV at an amazing price! The TV has one of the best picture's I've ever seen, for a fraction of the cost. Deep blacks, and rich colors, plasma is definitely the way to go in my opinion. The only downsides to this TV is the sound quality, which seems weak in comparison to the amazing picture.

The picture quality is top notch. For a list of recommended picture settings, I'd head over to CNET. Only downside are the built-in speakers - they're terrible.

Since I got such a great deal on the TV, I bought a Samsung Blu-Ray player for more than I could have gotten it elsewhere (even BEFORE the Abe's guy called and tried to upsell some other stuff). The TV worked great, but the player was non-functional out-of-the-box. Abe's refused to swap it with another one (citing their policy), so I was forced to send it to Samsung for repair. They did repair it, so now I essentially have a refurbished Blu-ray player that [@]sells for half of what I paid for it here.

out of the box I wasn't too impressed but after playing with the controls it worked out fine. I highly recommend setting it up via blue ray to properly tune this product. The sound quality is weak on this TV but if you hook it up to home audio it is not an issue. The Cnet reviews are spot on with this TV's highlights.

If your lookin for a tv head and shoulders above the rest your search ends here. This tv has everything, great sound, great picture, and easy to use. If i had something negative to say i really only have one complaint. That would be that the location of the inports or connections on the side would be better located somewhere in the back of the tv. Just my opinion, other than that its an amazing tv for any purpose. Wheather it be video games, watch tv, etc. I highly recommend the panasonic 50st50 to anyone.

I am extremely happy with my tc-p50st50 tv. It amazes me all that this tv can do. I really like the 2d to 3d effect. I haven't tried full 3d yet,but am looking forward to it. The sound is unbelieveable;the picture "ditto". Finally,I was impressd with Abe's of Maine,I got a good product at a good price and prompt delivery. I would not hesitate to buy from Abe's in the future.

Set up and worked well on digital cable out of the box. After a week we tweaked the settings a bit, like full screen. Critical visitors said it was good. We need to hook up to our sound system, and eventually get HD. And thanks to Abe's for an efficient sales and delivery process.
