The only thing that would make it better is good tele-extender, would take the lens to the next level.

This is a very good, moderately fast lens. The SDM focus is quite and relatively fast. Its too bad that with the newest dSLR bodies by Pentax that screw drive can't be selected as an option. This lens is solid construction and is weather sealed. It also comes with a nice tripod collar that can be removed.
