Omega Juicers 8006 Juicer - Chrome/Black

The 8006 Omega juicer is well built, easy to use and clean, and comes with a long warranty. I juice regularly and frequently, and got this to replace the centrifugal juicer that was not doing well with leafy stuff. My Breville is now in a box and may not see light for some time.

I use this to juice alot of green leafy veggies-- It's the perfect juicer for this. It's so much easier to clean than centrifugal juicers. Juicing takes a little more time but not a lot. Highly recommended!

I did many weeks of obsessive research, including store visits and phone calls to owners. It came down to this 8006 Omega or the Sunstar version. I felt like this one was the original design - has a better auger/screen setup, takes less counter space. In terms of using it, all the good stuff you've read is true. #1 for me is that it pops apart and cleans completely in less than a minute. It's a bit slower than the "dump and spin" juicers, but I time it so as I'm cutting and skinning the grapefruit, or cleaning the carrots, there is always one going down the chute. I have never felt like I'm waiting on the juicer to do it's juicing. One thing that might make me consider the Sunstar over this one is their hand-crank option. In the post-apocalypse world (or out camping in an RV), everyone left will seriously need a juicer to keep going. I'm wondering if the same one would work with the Omega juicer parts. It looks like the same mechanism, and I've heard they both come from the same factory.

Had this for 2 weeks. love it, but the strainer part already broke. im going to order a replacement because i like the juice the machine produces but i hope this doesnt keep happening.

This is a great adjunct to my Champion/People's Press combo. Between these three machines, I can juice anything extremely thoroughly and efficiently, producing high quality juices with minimal wastage and simple cleanup. With these, I Have the equivalent of a Norwalk juicer, for a fraction of the cost, and with much easier cleanup. I wish that the housing was actually chrome. It seems to be a reasonably heavy grade plastic.

Everything is great about this product except the manual needs more information and pictures. For a company that has been in business this long, it is surprising. I had to go to You Tube to look at videos on how to juice and use the various components as these are all missing from the manual.
