Performs exactly as I had hoped. No more lying the ground trying to get those ground level shots. The only drawback is you cannot see the camera settings through the viewfinder when using the 2X setting.

Comments:
Nice piece of equipment, but when you attach a flash/speedlight to the camera, you can’t look into the view finder because the flash is in the way.

Comments:
Pros: The DR-6 has crystal clear viewing in either the 1x or 2x mode. The focus control works better than expected. Cons: The retention springs holding the DR-6 to the D-40 viewfinder does not apply enough pressure to hold the DR-6 securely in place, allowing the DR-6 to wiggle, although it won't fall off.
