Great len but had to be sent back for servic as right out of the box auto focus not properly adjusted.Does Nikon have QC problem. [...]If you have the money they is a fantastic lens. Its a great 35mm len on my D90. On my D90 as sharp at F1.4 as my 24-70 and 14-24 zooms at F2.8. At F2.8 much sharper than zooms. I had forgotten how nice an extra 2 F stops is in low light. In really low light auto focus is sometimes off when subject contrast is low. But in most situations focus is very accurate.

Comments:
This is quite possibly one of the best lenses that Nikon has ever made. It's amazing to use to handheld in low-light situations. Wide-angle on FX. Has the same field of view as a classic 35mm on DX.

Comments:
This lens is as sharp at f/1.4 as my 17-35 Nikkor at f/5.6!! And not just at the center of the frame, but corners are very sharp as well. Since I like wide compositions that include landscapes and/or interior decor in my portraits, this lens was perfect for the job. It is expensive, but if you want to take your photos to a new level, this is the one to get.
