This is a great lens to take pictures of tall buildings, mountains,or anything that requires you to get a lot into one shot.

This is the widest angle lens I have ever used and it's a dandy. The zoom is great for interiors, framing is a cinch. Wish the aperture were constant, but overall this lens is an excellent choice. Only done a few landscapes so far but results are promising.

Comments:
It's great to have such a wide-angle capability for group shots and for large buildings or other scenary in landscape shots. But you may either be closer to the subjuct than you would think or do some Photoshopping adjustments to get the end-result you wanted.

I usually use it for architectural and landscape photography. I was worried about it's sharpness, but it has turned out to be good. If your are looking for a affordable wide-angle lens, this is a fairly good choice.

Comments:
A large part of photography is to create a 3-D image on a 2-D photo. That's where a wide-angle lens comes in. To create a sense of depth, one must incorporate enough "edges" to generate a 3-D visual illusion. Nikon's 10-24mm ultra-wide angle lens does exactly that! There is a lot depth at the 10mm focal length. Every photographer should have this lens in his bag. My copy of the lens has a very slight front focus, but since this lens is meant for landscape the depth of field is large anyway. The lens is made of high quality plastic. It's not a professional lens made of metal, but is still pretty good.

Bought this lens a week before visiting Rome and it was amazing at capturing the grand scale of all the ancient buildings.
