I have had an all electric kitchen for 35 years and this cooktop boils water lightening quick! I also love the rapid cool down, you don't have to move pots off when turning down the heat. The smooth surface makes it soooo easy to clean, and it is the eye candy of my kitchen!

I replaced my 20+ years old Thermador ceramic cooktop with this Maytag unit. It has a better arrangement of burners where the big burners are in the back and small burners are in the front; therefore, you don't have to reach over a big pot to use the back burner. It heats up very quickly and easy to clean. There is a hot surface indicator to let you know when you can clean/touch the cooktop without burning yourself. I only got it installed two weeks ago and hope it will last as long as my old Thermador cooktop.
