This purchase replaced a very old but still working KitchenAid mixer, that I received secondhand, more than 30 hyears ago. The old workhorse was passed on to someone who is impressed by the longevity of use! I love the new green color and the lid that prevents flour from flipping out of the mixing bowl. This mixer really performs well, and makes baking a breeze. My husband gave this to me as a gift for 2011 Mother's Day, and I could not be more pleased.
