I bought it for Italy and I am using it with an autotransformer 1000 W to reduce the electricity from 220V. to 110 V. Works great.

This is my second Pro 6 Qt...I wore the other one out (that I bought in 2004) by making hundreds of double batches of cookies for my B&B...along with pancakes, cakes, whipped cream ,etc. This new model is quieter, more powerful and mixes even better. I love it!

I've only used the mixer twice but it works nicely. It's very tall and heavy so I can't keep in on my countertop, which means I have to move it everytime I want to use it. I can't seem to get my beater adjusted properly even following the directions. It just doesn't seem to mix as well as I thought it would for so much money and being the heavy duty professional model.

I'm a bread baker and use whole grain flours. This machine whipped up my dough in no time. It performed fantastically compared to my old KitchenAid mixer with a much smaller motor. This machine was recommended to my by a friend and she knew what she was talking about. I do a lot of baking. Every recipe I've done with this machine is done so very well.

I've been wanting a stand mixer for a long time, and finally purchased this KitchenAid mixer, it was the best investment I ever made! I am so happy with the performance, especially with bread and dough recipes. I use it a couple times a week. The only con if I had to give one is that it is a bit heavy, I have plenty of kitchen counter top space to store the beautiful red mixer on my counter, but if you don't it may be heavy to move up and down from storage.

Gluten-free dough is really tough and actually broke my previous mixer. The Kitchen Aid Pro mixes this dough easily and thoroughly. It's bright Red and it inspires me!

I've been baking and cooking without a mixer for the last ten years, and didn't think I would ever need one....until I started making huge birthday cakes for my nephew! I borrowed a friend's artisan kitchenaid mixer and fell in love. I antied up the money for the professional 600, and am glad that I did: the artisan version (375 watt motor), would rock back and forth when making cookie dough, and was loud, and didn't have the nice transisitonal soft start between mixing speeds that this beautiful 600 version does. And while this mixer is larger, it doesn't feel any heavier than the Artisan, which is a bonus since I need to store mine in a cabinet! My favorite uses for this so far include bread, meringues, and cookies. Looking forward to using this for homemade marshmallow before the holiday season is thru.

I debated whether to get the 5.5 QT with the flip top head or the 6QT and I'm glad I got the 6QT. The bowl is big enough to get into with a scraper and last weekend I made a triple batch of Banana Nut Bread - with room to spare. Love my new mixer!!
