I bought this oven for the proofing feature and am not disappointed. After proofing push convection bake and 6 min. later into the oven to bake. The sensor on the microwave is magic, whether reheating a plate of food or cooking rice it comes out perfect. Delivery took 3 weeks to go 600 miles but all in all I couldn't be happier, so far.

This Advantium 120 Over the Range multiple mode oven really does all that it's advertised to do! Defrosting, reheating, boiling, broiling, searing, cooking and all items we've cooked were fast end even. Read the specs, functional overview and product manual before you buy so you'll do this machine justice (all docs are available on GE's Advantium website) and believe them. The engineering was superb, and clearly GE put heavy emphasis on the human factors. Even the display system is advanced. As an example, the time display will actually move to different portions of the screen throughout the day. The build is rock solid and it looks great. The interior is all stainless steel. It's a bit less power than our previous microwave was but it actually cooks more efficiently, so time is about the same or less. The speed-cook is fantastic, as are the microwave, preprogrammed food settings, extensive and intuitive menu system with Help function, glass touch screen, glass and metal turntables, documentation, and even the customer's recipe section on GE's Advantium website. Installation instructions were clear, but as a consumer, I will never say that installing any over the range oven is quick and easy because it isn't, and shouldn't be if you want to do it right. But if you take the time to read thoroughly and measure at least twice before you cut or drill you'll be ok. The self-aligning bolts through the cabinet bottom through the oven's top really help because it's very difficult to get drill the cabinet holes in exactly the right place. And definitely try to have a helper when you're ready to lift it onto the rear bracket and bolt it in from the top. Now a few words about Abe's of Maine. This was my first purchase here, and I'll absolutely buy more from Abe's! Their price beat EVERYONE'S, by a lot, and they shipped for free. The protective packaging was the best I've ever seen for anything, including hard corners, heavy-duty banding all around, protective foam and cardboard. There was not even a pinhole or even a smudge on the oven's carton.

Use the Advantium every day, almost every meal. From baking cookies or cakes to browning roasts, it does everything I need. Takes some time to understand & learn to cook but it's definitely worth it. Perfect for hot Arizona summers when using a regular gas or electric oven just intensifies the heat index....it doesn't heat up the kitchen. It's pricey & that's the only disadvantage. I'm extremely pleased with this speed-cooker. I've owned 2 others, both the Kenmore Advantium (made by GE) & put one in my RV to use while traveling. One quit after 4-5 years & I replaced it with another. Had I realized the control board was the problem & how easily it could be replaced, I probably would have repaired the first one. Abe's of Maine had a great price & delivered it within their timetable without a problem.
