Cooks great. Food tastes great. You can make two baked potato on combo cooking in less than 15 minutes and they taste like a regular baked potato.

As with the similar Sharp I used for 25 yrs, I use the unit for everything from boiling water for instant coffee and popcorn to combination roasting turkeys. The controls are odd, but not hard to get used to. The cooking waves seem a bit center-weighted, so the bacon got cooked in the middle and underdone at the ends. I can probably work this out though. I tried the similar Sharp but its quality was a disaster and I sent it back - wouldn't touch that brand again, though its predecessor was fantastic. Overall, this unit looks like it will work out fine.

Oven temp can't be adjusted while cooking without canceling the whole program. Current oven temperature doesn't display so you don't know where you are during the preheat and don't know what the oven temp is while cooking unless you remember what you set it at. Dial is a pain; would prefer a touch pad entry. My previous version of this oven lasted forever though (my daughter fried it) so I'm willing to put up with the poor control design.

We use the microwave method most often for things such as heating leftovers, oatmeal, popcorn beverages etc. Works well. The multifunction knob for setting time and cook type works very well and is easy to use. I used the convection rarely, but worked well for frozen french fries and small pieces of fish. Our last GE Conv/Microwave lasted 15 years, I hope this one does even better.
