I chose Dualit because I like their products. But I was disappointed that this particular mixer was made in China and not England. Dualit is a British company that makes top quality products. So I dont know why this mixer wasnt made in England? As for function - its lowest speed is too fast. For recipes that call for mixing on medium or low speed this mixer will not be your favorite. It will whip cream and frostings very well. I would recommend it if your looking for a speedy and powerful mixer.

I love to bake and make cookies. I have a bad habit of killing the mixer. My last one before this burnt up, it actually went up in flames. I have not had a problem mixing the stiffest cookie batter with this mixer. It is awesome
