i did a lot of research before buying this ice cream maker. i watched a video on someone making ice cream in this exact model first, then when i saw abes of maine's price[...] i went for it. it's better than i expected. i love ice cream andi like the idea of being able to use organic ingredients--especially grass fed milk. i've played around with altering the ingredients. i don't use heavy cream or much sugar and it still tastes creamy and rich. the ice cream is soft but that's how i like it. it's pretty fast too...only takes about 25 minutes. i cut the recipes in half to make smaller quantities each time the family wants ice cream for left overs get a little too hard and icy...probably because i don't use the heavy cream. i've only used the cuisinart recipe book that comes with the machine--chocolate and vanilla. haven't needed anything else. you won't be disappointed!

I enjoy trying different flavors of ice cream and sherbets. This machine allows me the freedom to be creative. I also use 1% milk and fat free half & half. It makes great desserts at a fraction of the calories and price of regular ice cream. The taste and texture do not suffer.

i have only made icecream and slushies with this so far. If the bowl is good and frozen, there is absolutely no problem. Very easy to use and icecream is delicious. After about one week in the freezer you will notice some ice crystals.

I love the 1.5 quart size and it's super easy to operate. I've been experimenting with my own flavors and my family enjoys the treat! It takes a few hours to harden ice cream after churning but worth the wait. I've been trying a lower calorie version with lower fat dairy products and it still tastes great. I have been 100% satisfied so far.

I bought this to try sorbets, I have yet to make any but have made sherbert and ice cream. The flavors are awsome. Initiall the ice cream seemed more like milky sherbert but using heavy cream makes this very ice cream like. I look forward to trying new recipes which are all over the web.

I am happy with this Ice-Cream-Maker as I cannot eat Ice-cream with dairy or sugar because of my Candida (Yeast overgrowth). So I use my own recipes and Stevia instead of Sugar. It works so easy and simple! The only thing I guess is not changeable is, that at the end when I take the Ice-cream out of the bucket, a layer of Ice-cream is frozen hard on the bottom and wall of the bucket. I can take it out when the bucket is unfrozen. I don't know if this could be improved somehow?

Searched the internet for a number ice cream recipes. Found a number of recipes; tried a couple. Completely happy with the results. The recipe booklet also has some good ones. Easy to modify to suit your desires.

Paddles allow too much build up on walls which keeps ice cream from getting as cold as it should.

Quick to make up a batch of ice cream - enough for a family of 4 to enjoy desert, and quick! No mess. Much better than the beasts we had when I was a kid that we had to keep adding salt and ice to.

I was given this ice cream maker for us to use in Mexico. I came home and bought two more - one for me to use at home and one for me to give as a present. It makes wonderful ice cream and is super easy to use. I love mine - especially the chocolate mint, the coconut and the coffee flavors!
