After a bunch of research, I decided on the DCC-1200 and I must say that I am very satisfied with my decision. I love everything about this coffee maker - even down to the outdated control knobs:o) If I had to make one improvment, it would be to redesign the top reservoir lid so that the condensation on the botton side does not drip onto the counter when you lift the lid to clean the used coffee grounds out.

I bought this coffee maker after reading reviews by a leading consumer reporting organization. It has lived up to my expectations. It may take a little longer to brew than other makers, but the timer works great and it's not a big deal at all. Most importantly, it makes a great cup of coffee.

Works fine, was refurbished but looked new, seems like Cuisinart does a great job on making product as new. We have several Cuisinart kitchen products and they have all been great.

I am delighted to review this coffeemaker. First of all, this is one of the best values you'll get for an awesome CM. I was worried that the retro look would be off putting, but i was wrong. I have the stainless one and it looks very nice in my opinion. This is one of the highest rated coffeemakers by consumer reports and its easy to see why. different heat level settings, speed, and a water filtration system mean you can get piping hot , fresh tasting coffee in no time at all. Thats the stuff that matters. Thre fact that you can program it to start brewing an hour before you leave for work is amazing as well. This is a great unit and you simply cannot go wrong. Except if something such as the design is off-putting to you. I only gave it 4 stars because my refurbished unit didnt come with a gold tone filter. I dont mind as much, just that Abe's didn't mention it. Other than that its a perfect machine.

Well built appliance. Definitely get it on sale as the retail price is a bit high.
