I use this coffeemaker everyday. It brews a good cup of coffee. I like cone shaped filters because I use less coffee to make the same strength brew as basket filters. I also like being able to set the coffee temperature and the auto-off time. I agree with other reviewers that the internal water level indicator is difficult to see, but fortunately I am tall.

Needed to upgrade from my 4 yr old, $16 Mr Coffee. [...] Works well, sturdy construction. Refurbished looks like new, and the price was great. Paper coffee filters work well, as does the basket (ordered separately). The only reason I didn't give this product 5 stars is because I've only had it a few weeks.

Did not include the permanent copper-mesh coffee filter. I don't use the permanent filter but the "new" coffee maker does advertise that one is included. Apparently they leave that accessory out of the refurbished models.

Overall a good value. Negatives are large size doesn't fit under cupboard with top open; cannot easily see amount of water being added; opening for water reservoir is relatively small. The complaints can be worked around; but it would be a better product if solved in the design.

We use this everyday to replace our $30 unit which lasted only a year. Superior brewing mechanics, temperature, and lid that keeps in the steam of the coffee brewed saving flavor. The ready alarm is a nice touch as I don't stand there and wait for coffee, but want it when ready. Sleek looks, love the overall design, aircraft wrinkle/pebble finish and heft of the unit. Same coffee blend, same prior grind, same water but much better flavor and temperature! We were hesitant about a refurbished unit, but it came from Cuisinart and looks and works perfectly so far.

I use this coffeemaker every morning, and it makes great coffee! Other people in my family own the same coffeemaker, and we all love them! I would highly recommend this coffeemaker to anyone looking for a good daily coffeemaker that keeps coffee hot, doesn't taste bitter, and looks good in your kitchen too! This is the third coffeemaker I've tried in a year and by far it makes the best tasting coffee!

This coffee maker was only slightly higher in cost than the run-of-the-mill coffee makers out there. My biggest like on this is the variable burner (3 settings). I don't like HOT coffee so I put mine on the lowest. I've used it about a dozen times and am very happy with the purchase. Negatives are it's a little confusing to program the timer and the lid is a little hard to get off/on but I manage. :-)

Refurbished was like new. Only issue is that the coffee and brewing temp are too hot, even when setting is low. Hopefully this will self-correct over time.

We've gone through several coffee pots trying to find one that brews the coffee nice and hot. This is the first one to succeed. The coffee tastes great, the controls are simple to learn, and it's a quality product for a reasonable price.

The cone filter is the most efficient design period. We have received 3 coffee makers since we first owned the DCC 1200 back in 2004. The keurig mini and platnum addition and they are so expensive to opperate compared to all coffee makers. We have also received the cousinart grind and brew with basket filter wich has to many gadgets to keep up with and clean and the end result is sub par. The only quirky thing about the dcc 1200 unit has been the lid on the pot but it is barely worth mentioning because it does every thing else so well and no back light time display. Other than that it pours clean and fast with no spills, looks are excelent and uses little coffee to make a robust coffee house flavor. Stop your search for the best coffee maker because if you are reading this you have found it.
