I would give this machine 5 stars if it were not for 2 factors. The coffee is not hot after initial brewing ( I know of few machines that do deliver hot coffee). The time display is not backlit. In poor lighting it is difficult to see. Other than that, easy to use, dependable, and........ the carafe does not drip!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
