I bought this to replace my Chefs Choice egg cooker which was failing. The buzzer on this unit is better but still not loud enough to hear beyond the kitchen. I like that it turns the heat off automatically. The egg cradle needs two hands to lift which is inconvenient. The egg holes are small so eggs spill easily if not very carefull. Cooks eggs easily and consistently once the proper amount of water is determined.

Comments:

You need to play around with the water amount for the way you like your eggs, but once you have it sown, there is no other to make eggs. Great for hard or soft, and the best pouched. Would not make eggs on stove again....
