I use this amp for my Southern Rock band for subs and mids. I was using crown MA3600 amps but the 30 amp draw became a problem with tripping breakers at both indoor and outdoor events. I heard the cc4000 being used for a Jimmie VanZant concert which my band shared stage with Jimmie and his band. The sound man was great and used double 18 sub cabinets and the cc4000 pounded such clear and super loud sub frequencies that I'll never forget it. I took one 3600 out of my rack and put in my used but like new cc4000 which I purchased used for 400$. I ran 2-18" W bins on channel A and ran the mids in 2 JBL SR4732 cabs on the other. Each channel had a total 2 ohm load at 2,000 watts per channel. A Crown PT-2 ran the JBL horns in the SR4732's. The sound was amazing. The 15 amp standard outlet plugs leave me with no breakers tripping ever since I started using the Crest cc4000. I blew a total of 3 JBL 2226's, two monitor horns and 4 monitor 15's plus two 18 inch sub speakers using the crown, due to power brownouts (low voltage) and breakers tripping, all in one year. In the past two years, I had absolutely NO speaker damage. I now have an A/C breaker panel but haven't used it yet to connect to the 220, the standard 20 amp lines we have to use on stages usually due the job without fail. My other MA3600 now powers the monitors. I recommend this amp for any large or small sound job or local band set up. Extremely clear sound and totally reliable. Oh, it's very bright front panel lights are way easy to see from the sound board.
