I would recommend someone to purchase this product versus the ones made in Hong Kong. This at least comes with a warranty and you know what type of product you're getting when you go with Canon. I've purchased lenses before that weren't Canon and I swore from that point on that if I buy anything for my camera and it's available BY Canon, I would buy Canon. The only two complaints that I have so far about this little electronic device is that it doesn't have an off and on switch so the device does get turned on when it's in my bag; and, that the cord is not very long, I think about 2'. 5-10' would have been much better in my opinion.

It does what it is supposed to do but the size could be smaller. I like hiking. I wish the size of this remote controller could be same as the one without timer so that it could be earier to be carried.
