Natural hand placement interferes with flash. It'll try to pop up and with your hand in the way it goes into "error". The only way to resolve is to shut and restart. I've only had the camera a month and believe the camera will eventually train me well....(if not, I'm hopeless). I think the hand placement problem could be solved by adding a finger rest on the lcd side of the camera body. Also, don't let the 250 page (english) instruction manual deter you. It is an amazing camera which seems to do as much or as little of the work as you wish.

This is an excellent camera. The photo quality makes me look like I know what I'm doing. You will not be disappointed with this purchase. I do wish it was a little smaller and lighter to fit better in my pocket. Understand this is probably due to the "crazy" zoom lens.

I travel a great deal. This camera is compact enough to fit in my pocket. I therefore carry it everywhere and use it more often than my larger Rebel. I am also a teacher and use it to record what my students are doing in class. They enjoy seeing themselves in action
