The image quality on fine macro shots can't be beat and the color accuracy from what I see on screen is spot on. The black and white looks superb as well. I have not used the 13x9 size yet, and cannot attest to it's time to print, but it's slow to print an 8x10... but worth the wait. Super quiet, and super easy to set up (and I'm technically challenged!) It's big, really big. Don't be surprised at how much space it needs and add more if you're going to print a 13x9 because it loads from the rear and you need an extra 15 inches or so in depth available on our desk. I've only been using it for a few weeks, and do not know how much ink it drinks yet. The most important thing is that it produces SUPERB, color accurate images.

I've had this printer for a few weeks, and it has been fantastic! It was easy to set up and get started. This is my first professional photo printer, so I do not have a point of comparison. However, I think it prints very fast considering the high quality, and I've been happy with the ink consumption. I would suggest practicing on a few 4x6 sheets to get the color settings just how you want them. My ONLY complaint is that Canon does not allow you to print on 11x14 paper because they do not manufacturer an 11x14 paper - very frustrating! Otherwise, I'm extremely happy with this purchase!

printer requires some desk realstate, print quality is superp although it is slower compare to the Epson 3800, relatively easy to setup but requires tinker if you want perfect prints. not as much media support as epson. overall a great artist/photographer printer and at a [$] price after rebate is a great printer.

Richest and deepest blacks ;I have ever seen. Uncompromising grey scale values, the acutance of the monochrome prints, are with out compare Colors Are like natures crayon box,the hues and tones are spectacular,as well as the myriad complexity of similar, but yet so distinct colors.

Comments:
I had a large portfolio of digital and photographed artwork to reproduce and the costs of professionally printing them would have been cost prohibitive. I am very impressed with the quality of prints I am getting from this printer. Some of my digital art is coming out so vibrant, the digital brushwork and color subtleties are more pronounced than on my computer monitor. The operating instructions are a bit overwhelming in the beginning but the instructions are easy to follow. I put it on a rolling cart so I can tuck it away. Replacing the ink is getting expensive but the great colors I'm getting from the prints make it worth the expense.

I don't do a lot of photo printing, but when I do I want great quality. This printer does it. I've spent a few hundred dollars on other printers and was never satisfied with the quality. This time I decided to spend the cash and it paid off. Abe's of Maine gives great service and prices. I like using them.

Faster and easier to use than expected. About 50% faster than the spec sheet.Still rather slow but a fair trade off for the quality!! Very quiet! Still on the learning curve for more advanced options. Has a reasonable idiot/ auto print.
