I bought this camera for my wife and now I want one. It is just awesome no matter what aspect you are using it for. I have two trips to Africa this year for missionary trips and have used just low quality cameras before. Now I want one to take like this to give everybody a lifelike feel of what I see over there. I would recommend this camera to everyone, easy to use until you feel ready to take on all the other manual aspects of the camera.

I'm new to DSLR photography and find this to be user friendly with lots of room for me to grow in my photography skills - get creative! I like that it has video - it will just take some practice to shoot quality video. Autofocus during video is noisy. Better to use manual focus but balancing that with use of the zoom will take some practice. Overall more than pleased with my purchase!

I am a recent college graduate and I use this with my friends and family at important events. I also dabble in taking some artistic photos and I love that this camera makes it so easy to take professional-looking photos. Also, when I'm capturing quick-moving objects, the camera can take rapid-fire photos, although they are not always crystal clear especially when I am moving the camera quickly. I love that this camera is very user-friendly and can work for people who are new to photography and also for those who are much more advanced. This camera can be tailored to fit any photographer's needs.

Comments:

We bought the camera because we wanted to be able to bridge the gap between simple point and shoot and professional level control over every last detail. This camera accomplishes that task well for a decent price. The preset modes do a good job of capturing various scenes, and the manual mode lets us mess with various settings as we learn how to take better photos. The 1080p video is amazing. Only downside is that the continuous shutter is only available on certain program modes.Additionally, Abe's of Maine was a good place to buy the camera from. They had it [...] for a good price. I use my T2i for macro, landscape, and outdoor shooting while traveling. With the stock 18-55mm IS lens, this camera is perfectly suited for learning all the ins and outs of digital photography and proper exposure. The best part is that this camera allows the user to determine how much control they want over the final image processing. To be honest, the full auto mode does a VERY good job but I was very excited to learn how to use the manual modes. For the money, this is a value offering not lacking in features.

Comments:

The Digital Rebel T2i is an impressive camera for the price. In terms of image quality it's very close to the EOS 7D (which costs twice as much). It has a high resolution sensor, low noise, excellent HD video capabilities, ISO settings up to 12800, 3.5+ fps continuous shooting and enough other bells and whistles (PIC, HTP etc) to keep most photographers happy. Right now I don't think there is a better "entry level" DSLR than the Digital Rebel T2i and I'd have no hesitation recommending it to someone who wanted a very versatile DSLR at a reasonable price.

I was really happy with this purchase. I had looked at a lot of cameras before I decided on this one. It is a wonderful camera for those that are pre-professional picture takers. Wonderful quality and capabilities! Would not pass up this camera.
