We are casual photographers but expect professional pictures. This camera makes it happpen. Bought first SLR 4 years ago and was dissapointed then about lack of vision in the LCD while shooting and lack of video capability. Both items included in most of today's SLRs and they are all we could have asked for. Read the bad review for its plastic construction to make it lighter and have to say, this would be a problem if I was going to use it as a football but we aren't. Our plan is to use it like a reasonably expensive piece of electronics so I doubt the plastic construction will ever matter.

I very much like the image stabilization. This is especially valuable at slow shutter speeds. Also like the large sharp LCD. My primary use is for medical photography in a cosmetic surgery practice. I have never had a DSLR with skin tone renderings that are this good - and consistently so.

The 60D is quick and easy to use. This is my first DSLR and I was pleasantly surprised to see how easy this camera was to learn and use. I think this is a great option as a first DSLR to learn on.

My first use with the camera was a trip to Israel to visit the Holy Lands. Even without reading the manual I was able to create some spectacular images. Bright sunshine of the desert, low light of old Jerusalem at night, cloudy days, dark churches and a fast moving tour bus proved to not be an obstacle for this camera to do its job. I've just begun to delve into all that this camera has to offer, and I can't wait to see what I'm able to produce once I can fully use the features to their fullest. Big endorsement here...

Love the MPEG feature.. no longer carrying 2 cameras. A little disappointed that the remote over flash bracket requires yet a different plug than my other EOS (20D). Love the Quick View set up screens.

Outstanding low-light photos! The quality of the picture is amazing. Even extemely cropped photos from a distance offer geat clarity. This is a "John Wayne" camera if there ever was one! Totally satisfied with it's performance to date.
