So far so good! This was a recent upgrade from the 30D I have used for almost 5 years. The most practical feature I have enjoyed on this model over the 30D is the AUTO ISO feature when using AV/TV modes. The build construction and feel in my hand is not as good as my old 30D. I didn't think that the better build quality of the 7D was worth the difference in the price for my situation.

I shoot professional high end weddings and corporate jobs and this camera was a must have for me. With the price difference of the 7d, I just didn't want to shell out the extra cash. I have used both the 7d and 60d and both are great cameras. The main attraction for me was that the 60d took SD cards where as the 7d took CF. Great camera all around!

For the price, this can't be beat. Much better built than the T3i. Great sensor like the 7D. If you dont need the faster clicks of the 7D, or the Full Frame of the 5D, there's no better option for video than this!!

Have had 20d, 40d, and 50d. This is the best yet. On/Off switch relocated to just below the mode dial and can be thumbed on or off - great move. Tilt/Swivel LCD a fantastic feature - you can hold the camera over your head to take pictures over the crowd, and still see what you are pointing at! And the Creative Auto mode is a very handy feature - allows you to make Ambience Selection in advance to make shots Vivid, Warm, Soft, Intense, Cool, Brighter, Darker, or Monochrome. Live View Shooting is a handy feature, and the movie feature as well. It takes a lot of study of the manual to master the many features - time well spent. A burglar took my 50d, a great camera, but the 60d is even better. Fantastic camera.

Awesome camera. I wanted to buy the 7D but with the price difference it was a no brainer. It's fast, relatively light and uses SD cards (7D does not). Haven't found anything I don't like about yet, though the AF points are in different places than my other Canon so that will take getting used too. Swivel LCD screen is a definite plus, I'd missed it since switching to a DSLR from a Canon Powershot Pro S3.

I am a photo enthusiast and I absolutely love this camera. I've owned cameras from Nikon D60, Nikon D90(still own), Canon D40, Canon D50. I absolutely love it. I love the way photos come out and absolutely love the video capabilities. I love my D90 but this does a whole lot better. Pictures are comparable to Canon 7D camera. I would recommend using a good lens. Use USM or L lens. You will absolutely love it.

Comments:

I've also owned the 7D and T2i, but this is definitely my favorite for video. The swivel LCD makes such a huge difference when you're shooting events. On a monopod, it'll allow you to get higher shots and when you've got a slider on the ground, you're no longer laying on your belly trying to check focus. I've noticed a lot less soreness after a long day and I think it's because I no longer have to do a lunge to check the LCD when the camera's at waist height; I just adjust the LCD upwards. Compared to the T2i, it feels much more rugged and less plasticky. On the 7D, you can only pull up histograms when you're in photo mode, but the 60D will allow you to see it in video mode. An advantage over both is that the mode dial has got a lock so you won't accidentally bump it into a different setting. Highly recommended.

Great photos. Very high resolution and good IQ. I used to have a Canon film SLR camera before this used primarily for slide photography. With a good set of lenses the Digital SLR delivers similar or better IQ.
