In my opinion all canon DSLRs should have a battery grip on them. It balances out the body when using with L lenses. Plus having two batteries means no swapping during your shoots.

Comments:
The Canon BG-E6 battery grip for the Canon 5D Mark II is a solid grip for hand-held portrait photography. Another added bonus is having two batteries that enable twice as much shooting time in still photography and videography. The added camera controls are a very useful feature enabling idea ergonomics for the vertical format.

Like other Canon battery grips, easy to install. Works well. Nice that it works with just 1 battery. It will be terrific when I can finally find a second battery! Makes vertical use of the camera easy.

Full functionality in both portrait and landscape mode. Makes using the longer lenses easier to handle. Double your battery capacity. Lets you use 6 AA batteries in a pinch.
