Comments:

This is cheaper than the 100 MM macro, may not be as good, and this can't be used for the full frame, but it is good enough for me if I need to take macro and or portrait shoots. It becomes my favorite lens besides the 18-135.

Comments:

I just recently purchased this lens for my wife and she is in love with it. We got it just in time for spring so she could use it for flower photography. She has already tested it out on the early flowers and has been amazed at the quality. On our latest trip to the botanical gardens, she took some pictures of tiny flowers about the size of a quarter and they came out crystal-clear showing details that we couldn't see with our bare eyes. Also, the depth of field makes for really great professional looking photos (great for portraits of people, food, etc).
