This is a brilliant lens that is wonderful to use out on the street due to its very low profile. When I take the battery pack off my 5D Mark III and replace my Canon "cannons" with this lens, I feel like I'm carrying a point and shoot! Yes, it helps sometimes to ditch one's "zoom mentality" and rely on footwork once again to achieve a stellar composition. Think of it this way; besides causing you to burn some calories this lens will earn respect when you discover how well it has captured detail, superb color rendition and contrast. In addition, it's quiet AF operation will seal the deal! What's not to love?
