I use this lens for general purposes, taking pictures of objects and some landscape. Its not the fastest lens, but its good for every day shooting.

For the price, this is an excellent lens. Produces decent and sharp images with my Digital Rebel XT. A much needed upgrade from the non-IS kit lens. Motors for focusing and IS are quiet -- more quiet than the Canon 55-250mm IS. Good deal at [$]
