I typically use this lens for outdoor wildlife and scenic photography. It is quite versitile because of the range of 18 - 200 mm. Not need to switch lenses as often as before I owned it.

I love this lens, it is sharp, fast focus and accurate. The best lens ever if we comparative it with Tamron and Sigma. If you are looking for one lens for all purpose this is it. I am very satisfied with this lens.

This is my first lens with image stabilization. I was reluctant to take the step but am completely pleased with the results. I bought it to cover soccer games. I needed a lot of zoom as the players can be up close or on the other side of the field. For the high zoom cases, the image stabilization makes a major positive difference. The only downside I have noticed is that it seems to run down my battery a bit faster (probably the IS drawing extra current). I consider this a small price to pay for otherwise excellent performance and results. I always carry a spare battery anyway.

I've only used this lens on a few instances so far, but I love the versatility and the range. Its disappointing that it's an EF-S but I ended up purchasing it to use on my XTi while I use my other IS lenses on my 5D. So far I have no complaints!
