This lens is spectacularly sharp. However, you will not see the sharpness if the lens is used on a camera without a tripod. The lens produces beautiful images that compliment the Canon sensors. Having tested non-Canon lenses in this focal length, I can say that the Canon is the best by far. You do get what you pay for.

This is a great lens. Almost no distorion. Colors are well saturated. Sharp. Lightweight. This lens will take a bit getting used to because any variation in angle makes a dramatic difference in how your photos will turn out. Get close up with this lens. Details get small, so if you don't get close, your subject may get lost. I've used this lens with a gradual ND filter (Cokin P series)for sunset shots and the results are amazing. Flare is very well controlled, and I do not use a lens hood.If you are thinking of buying this lens, just do it. It is as fine a lens as any "L" series that I have used. ***Crop sensor cameras only***

This is a perfect super wide angle lens for your canon 1.6x camera. Remember as an EF-S lens, it will not fit on full frame cameras.

My daughter wanted this lens for her 2oth birthday. She has a CANON and was elated because it will give her many more photo options. It's pricey but looks to be a quality product w/ stainless steel around the casing instead of plastic. Thank you for fulfilling your end of the transaction.

I just got this, so it's not a long term use review. I took it tight to an air show and got there early so I could use it with multiple aircraft. It did very well on the static. I also found it very usefull in interior shots for real estate photography.

This lens has a good build quality, mostly plastic, but still sturdy. The focus is fast, the image quality is sharp, and the zoom and focus rings move smoothly. Disappointed that for so much money it doesn't come with a lens hood though.

Purchased product because I have a lot of situations at work where I have to take photos in tight spaces and can't get everything in the frame. But I've also used it to take scenery photos along the Mississippi River and a rock band in a small dark bar. It's worked great for all of those situations. I learned long ago to stick with Canon products for consistant quality.

This lens is the ultimate lens to get if you love wide angle photography on a crop body camera. Obviously, if you have a full frame camera this won't work!
