Had a Whirlpool which I loved but the baskets began rusting way too soon at only 8 years of age. Always heard how great Bosch was, and CR rated it so high (losing faith in Consumer reports now), so we bought one. I hate it. The tines are all "angled" and you have no flexibility in loading, a nightmare; silverware basket some sadist's idea. Doesn't clean and cycles are 2 hrs. long! No savings when you must wash them twice! red LED display is horrible as is red light shining on the floor. Really people, red? Hate it hate it hate it -- hard to load, doesn't clean or dry in top rack, you even have to turn it on and off yourself! my Whirlpool which I would give anything to have back was far far superior, just didn't last as it should, but when you unloaded it and shut the door it turned off (also had a tiny tiny green light to show dishes were done and clean -- not this huge airplane display). I know unhappy folks review items more than happy ones, but trust me, this is a dud -- I guess CR loves them because they are quiet -- they are somewhat quiet, but not so much to be rated as highly as they are. DON'T BUY BOSCH

Comments:
LED display on front of dishwasher was not working when unit was delivered. A very friendly and helpful Bosch tech came out and found it was simply not connected from the factory. Fixed it in a matter of minutes.
