This is the first online review I have written for a product. This is by far the best dishwasher I have ever owned. It is very quiet. I have yet to remove a dirty item which I have done with every other dishwasher load my entire life. I installed it myself. I would recommend not having a glass of wine first. It is awkward to load and appears to be designed for midget dishes and glasses. I would definitely recommend the models with the third rack for silverware.

My previous Bosch dishwasher lasted 17 years. I was very pleased with its performance although it got louder over the years. I installed a 500 series at my parents and an 800 series(costs twice as much) at my house. In the washing compartment there doesn't seem to be much difference, but the difference in build quality is huge. The water inlet and outlet, the electrical connections, the overall insulation and build quality are much better on the 800 series. I thought I would not like the utensil rack, but it is great because it frees up a lot of space below. It is roomier than my old Bosch. It can hold cookie sheets and cutting boards easily. We have been using it for 1 month and are very pleased. It is really quiet, but many cycles take 2 hrs.

A dishwasher that really works! It's quiet, efficient, and cleans dishes well. One suggestion - Add a line or two of instructions to the User Instruction Manual explaining how to reset the door latch when it trips "closed" with the door open. Four loads after first installing the dishwasher the door latch tripped "closed" with the door open. Unable to latch the door closed, for the next three days we were forced to wash all of our dishes by hand until a repair technician came to our home and showed us how to reset the door latch.

Since we got this dishwasher we cook more because everything can go in it. You have lots of loading options because the prongs that separate items can be folded down. It takes a tiny bit longer to load the silverware but it's much quicker to empty so it's a wash (pun intended).
