I bought this same griddle 3 years ago and had to replace it due to mechanical failure. It's a great product but I would expect, for the price, for it to last a lot longer. However, I did repurchase the same product as it works very well.

Having had the griddle only a few weeks, its use has been strictly for pancakes. My family has pronounced it a superb griddle and my pancakes better than ever. After my excellent 40 year old griddle died,I replaced it with a very inferior one that was just awful. So after extensive research, the Broil King seemed to be the best and it definitely is. It heats quickly and evenly, maintains the temperature, and cleans easily; the non-stick surface seems to work beautifully--just follow manufacturer's directions. It's large to store but not too difficult. The Broil King is the best appliance I have purchased in years.
