I like this product so much I wanted to give 5 stars for this, but my only complain is, it doesn't have rubber grips and for someone like me with small hands, it's not easy to handle heavy weight(> 50lbs) like this. I wish this has the selecttech 552's rubber grips which are more comfortable for long work outs. Rest everything is awesome and they will last for a while. I forgot to mention, Abe of Maine's shipping is awesome, "its free" and I didn't have any problem with them so far.

These weights are great to keep in the basement. They take an entire set of weights and compact it into two easy to use dumb bells. They can get a little bulky when you want to use the smaller weights, but only during a few exercises.

This dumbell set is perfect for P90X. You may only use up to 50 lbs, but since this is an investment, I figured it would make sense to get the 90 lbs., in case I want to add a bench somewhere down the line, or for things like shoulder shrugs, etc., where more than 50 lbs is needed.

Comments:

This is the perfect product for somebody who is limited on space or just doesn't want 15+ sets of dumbbells in their workout area. It's especially nice to have the heavier weights (60-90) available for incline bench and shoulder presses. It's slightly bulky if you're doing anything with light weights, but nothing you can't get used to. I've used my set now for a couple of weeks and am very impressed with how well these work, and would recommend them to anybody who wants all-in-ones that includes heavier weights.

The product is a great idea and definitely very easy to use while saving space. The only issue I have with them is that the grip is not like the 552's I have which are rubber grips. The grip on the 1090's are metal which are not as comfortable as the 552's especially when lifting heavy. I have no other issue with the weights except price but I picked them up from here, Abes of Maine, with a 15% off coupon, a $15 coupon, free shipping, and no tax.

Comments:

Overall I really like this weight set. While other folks have commented on the size of these weights, they aren't excessively bulky. The main downside is the grips. They seem rather sharp, and even with gloves they tend to dig in.

Comments:

The design does not have the weight evenly dispersed so you need a specific grip or else the weight is not right over your wrist and can lead to straining. The handles are also a little uncomfortable without gloves. Overall they are awesome though, they adjust super fast and easily in between sets. The weights themselves are a bit bulky but considering they take the place of so many other its well worth it. You can get a full professional gym work out in half the time because you don't have to wait for other people using the weights that you want. It also lends well to mixing up your works out and progressing to heavier weights.
