excellent reference monitors with a good flat response and plenty of power. I havent ever had them up beyond half volume, and they are as loud as i would need in the immediate future. Also, the blue lights on the top flash red when the input level is causing clipping...great feature! Abes of Maine had the best deal anywhere by far [...]

These monitors are a great value. I am very pleased with the sound. The Bass is quick and punchy. The mids and highs are clear. These would be suitable for amateur, home recording. I am currently using these monitors as computer speakers for daily listening to music at the computer. For this purpose, they blow any regular desktop computer speakers away (2.0 or 2.1). Serious studio professionals might want to look at something bigger, more expensive. For the price and size, these monitors are hard to beat.
