Wanted to purchase the JVC OEM battery but was told this was better (and cheaper). Cheaper yes, better....no! The battery wouldn't charge without additional equipment; required a wire to be plugged from the battery to the camera in order to power the camera; and was not a data battery - so there was no easy way to monitor the battery life. Spend the extra [$]to get the OEM battery and save yourself a lot of trouble.
